NordicTrack Treadmill Incline Calibration Failed

Leave The Treadmill Unpluged

leaving the treadmill unplugged for 3-5 hours and then plugging it back in the treadmill can help Nordictrack in recalibrating it without getting failed.

Loose Tensioned Wire Under Start Switch

I just got mine fixed. Under the start button of your NordicTrack treadmill try to locate that the wire piece is in the right place, with less tension.

If the wire is tight, then loose it by snapping back can solve the calibration failed issue.

P.S: There is a possibility that the treadmill belt can somehow pull the wire while Nordictrack is at 40% incline.

Dislodged Incline Screw Can Cause The Failed Calibration

If your Nordictrack is stuck at a maximum incline, it is possible that the incline screw (with 1.5″dia with a hole in it to pass nut through it) is dislocated from the mount.

Lay your tread on its left side, Remove the incline motor from the frame, bushings, and also nut/bolts and then screw it back to the motor (it will allow the seized incline screw to rotate in the incline motor). Unmount the cover & tighten the incline motor screw.

It won’t take more than 20 minutes.

Recalibrating the Nordictrack tread after applying the aforementioned steps will fix the “Calibration Failed Error”

The calibration instructions may vary by model.
